FAITHFUL LIVING

Back in the early 1980s, the vision of Immanuel’s leadership held to a strong hope in God for the future growth and well-being of this church. With deep conviction and dedicated commitment, they provided future congregations of Immanuel with an opportunity for expansion. Those people not only poured a strong spiritual foundation of faith upon which we stand, but also a reinforced cement foundation upon which to build a second story.

Because of the hopes and dreams of those who attended Immanuel 30 years ago, today we have additional space for equipping our people for ministry, much needed gathering places for fellowship, and exciting opportunities for outreach to our community. We have had the privilege to build upon a foundation of those who invested in the future and demonstrated "faithful living" unto God.

GENEROUS GIVING

At the heart of generosity is an awareness of God’s blessing and grace in our lives. Just as God has poured out His benevolence upon us, our response should be to follow His example. That can be very hard in a world that is overwhelmed by selfishness and consumerism. But God’s Word encourages us to be generous not only because of what it will do for His glory, and for others, but what it can do for us, as well. We can experience the truth of Jesus’ words – "It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35)

PAST INVESTMENT – PRESENT IMPACT

In the 47 year history of Immanuel Bible Church, there have been quite a few funding projects that have been utilized to help grow and expand our ministries. God has used the previous capital funding projects at Immanuel to accomplish great things. Each of these financial efforts has served to encourage us to give sacrificially as we continue to fulfill our mission of "building mature followers of Jesus Christ who seek Him constantly,
serve Him faithfully, and share Him boldly."

  • TOGETHER WE BUILD (1978-81) – the purchase and pre-construction costs of the current location.
  • PROJECT: NEHEMIAH (1981-1984) – construction of the Gym and original education wings.
  • 10 + 2 (1985-89) – construction of the Worship Center, Balcony, and the Fireside Rooms.
  • ABOVE & BEYOND (1989 – 2001)
  • PROJECT 9 (1990 - 1994) – Phase 1 - C wing construction.
  • INTO THE NEXT MILLENNIUM (1998-2001) – Phase 2 – construction of addition to the C Wing, Choir/Seminar Room, Offices, Guest Reception, and debt retirement.
  • BUILDING UP - REACHING OUT (2003-2007) – Gateway Bible Church plant, Grace Bible Church re-start, and pre-construction funding phase.
  • ONE LIFE–NO LIMITS (2008-2011) – the renovation of the Gym, construction of second story A & B Wing Classrooms and A Wing offices, and the Atrium, , and the global endowment for world missions.

FAITHFUL LIVING and GENEROUS GIVING – THE PLAN

Beginning July of 2011, our next funding endeavor will be called "Faithful Living, Generous Giving." The purpose in this effort is to retire our construction debt as quickly as possible, so that we can free ourselves for greater ministry locally, nationally, and around the world.

We want to be very straightforward with everyone…so here are the facts and the plan. The financial goals of our previous "One Life" campaign were not fully met. The construction has been completed responsibly and with as many cost effective choices as possible. This current debt is a distraction to ministry. The sooner we pay it off, the faster we can place greater focus on ministry opportunities!

THE NEED AND OUR PARTICIPATION

In January of 2012, Immanuel Bible Church will have a 20-year construction loan of $7.5 million dollars that we all want to pay off as quickly as possible.

Through God’s blessing and His leading, everyone in the Immanuel Bible Church family has the opportunity to actively participate at whatever level God is guiding. It is understandable that not all can give the same amount, but all can participate in some way. We are encouraging everyone to begin with prayer by asking – "Lord, what would YOU have me give?" Your participation in "Faithful Living, Generous Giving" should be based on God’s personal direction of you.

We pray that God will clearly guide each of us and we look forward to joining together as the Immanuel Family at the conclusion of "Faithful Living, Generous Giving" with praise and thanksgiving to God for all of His blessings in abundantly meeting our need.

CELEBRATION SUNDAY NOVEMBER 13

On November 13, 2011  we celebrated the completion of construction and the dedication of our facility for continuing the ministry of "building believers to the glory of God."

Our special speaker for our worship services that day was Dr. Crawford Loritts. Dr. Loritts has been an evangelist, a church planter, and has served with Campus Crusade for Christ as a speaker and writer and mentor of young leaders. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell, GA.
