PRE-MARITAL MENTORING

Pre-marital Mentors are couples who have been chosen from the community of Immanuel Bible Church and have demonstrated a strong marriage relationship. Relying on their experience and training, the pre-marital mentors strive to serve God by coming up along side engaged couples to strengthen their relationship with each other and ultimately with God. The resources used by the pre-marital mentors are as follows:

1. Immanuel Bible Church Pre-marital Workbooks
2. FOCCUS (Facilitating Open Communication, Understanding & Study)
   assessment
3. The Marriage Builder by Dr. Larry Crabb
4. Sexual Intimacy In Marriage by William Cutrer and Sandra Glahn

The Immanuel Bible Church Pre-marital Workbook is broken down into eight sessions. They are:

Session One – Foundations
Session Two – Expectations
Session Three – Roles
Session Four – Personality
Session Five – Communication
Session Six – Family
Session Seven – Finances
Session Eight – Sexual Intimacy

The FOCCUS assessment is a great tool to identify known and unknown areas in an engaged couples relationship which they would benefit from discussing. The Marriage Builder is a classic book on marriage that provides significant insight into the marriage relationship. Sexual Intimacy In Marriage is a book given to the couple towards the end on the program to rightly educate a couple on God’s designs for sexual intimacy.

All of these materials are covered by the initial $120.00 fee.
