Keith and Sharon Morgan
Military Ministry
(Campus Crusade for Christ/Cru)
Metro DC – U.S.

Keith serves as Director of Family Ministries for the Military Ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ/Cru. Keith writes that he sometimes sees their ministry as "marriage medics: giving first aid, comfort and encouragement to military marriages everywhere." While civilian divorce rates have been declining, divorces in the military are up 42% since 2001. Some experts say the increase is a stark indicator of the stress caused by repeated combat deployments and inadequate time back home. A friend recently told Keith that the divorce rate on his post is a staggering 82%.

Through their ministry, Keith and Sharon offer hope to many in despair in the military today. They recently completed the Art of Marriage Bible Study and Games with 20 couples at Fort Belvoir, and in March they hosted a military appreciation breakfast for about 25 military couples who attended a Weekend to Remember in Reston. Keith and Sharon consider it an honor to be part of a spiritual movement that strengthens military marriages.

Prayer Requests:
1. For Keith and Sharon as they prepare to lead a Fireproof Your Military Marriage week next month at Spring Canyon, Colorado with Officers Christian Fellowship.
2. For military families who face the stress of multiple, lengthy overseas deployments.
3. For healing and pain relief for Sharon's niece Stephanie, who suffers from a rare auto-immune disorder.
