2008 Urban Immersion Outreach Team
May 15-18
Washington, DC

This week, we lift up in prayer the members serving on the Urban Immersion Outreach team serving in Washington, DC, May 15-18. This trip combines missions and service in our very own community. The team will be exposed to new situations that will challenge them in many ways. Hosted by the Center for Student Missions (CSM), they will be working in a variety of ministries serving as the hands and feet of Christ in areas including the Central Union Mission, various feeding programs, and neighborhood centers that reach children with tutoring and other assistance. They will also visit shut-ins with terminal illness and minister to homeless individuals on the streets of the city.
Please pray for our hosts, Jason and Chris of CSM, and our Immanuel team members, Lee, Ashley, Teiko, Deedee, Elizabeth, Maria, Leticia, Ron, Kenneth, and Peggy.

Prayer Requests:
1. For team members to come to know God in a new way.
2.That both those giving and receiving will be impacted by the love of Christ.
3. That God will provide all the resources needed for the team to be effective ministers and witnesses in the city, and that the team will develop a lifetime interest in helping others.
