IMMANUEL CHRISTIAN BOOKSTORE
703-354-5219 |
CHRISTIANITY has an image problem. We are supposed to represent Christ to the world, but according to the latest report card, something has gone terribly wrong. Using descriptions like “hypocritical,” “insensitive,” and “judgmental,” young Americans share an impression of Christians that’s nothing short of….unChristian. In “unChristian,” the Barna Group presents ground-breaking research into the perceptions of sixteen to twenty- nine year olds revealing that Christians have taken several giant steps backward in this most important assignment. Learn how to reverse these misconceptions in a Christlike manner, and discover practical examples of how Christians can positively contribute to culture. Also new: “The Reason For God – Belief in an Age of Skepticism.”
Both of these eye-opening books are available today at a 20% discount.

WORLD MISSIONS»
703-813-1954 or missions@immanuelbible.net |
Keith and Sharon Morgan
Metro DC – U.S.
Military Ministry
(Campus Crusade for Christ)
Keith serves as Director of Family Ministries for the Military Ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. In September, an article posted on military.com called, “Families Cracking Under War Pressure,” reported that “… three quarters of the veterans acknowledged having some family problem at least once a week.” Yet, the power of the Gospel is reaching couples and transforming marriages through HomeBuilders’ Couples Studies and evangelistic Marriage Seminars.
Keith and Sharon, along with another couple, have co-authored a new military HomeBuilders’ study called “Strengthening Your Marriage Through Deployment.” The final manuscript was delivered to FamilyLife a few weeks ago, and they hope to conduct a worldwide field test over the next several months as a prelude to final publication. They hope the study will be released by late summer.
The demands and expectations on military chaplains are enormous as they minister to service members and their families. Consequently, Family Ministry hopes to pioneer two Chaplains’ Retreats in May; one in Nags Head, NC, and the other in San Diego, CA.
Prayer Requests:
1 For Family Ministry to minister effectively to chaplain couples at retreats in May.
2. For HomeBuilders’ studies started in Korea following a Military Marriage Seminar held in January in Seoul.
3. For military families who face many stresses in the midst of fighting the global war on terror.
