Anytime is a great time to join one of our Music and Worship Ministry teams. Whether you prefer to shake hands and give a warm greeting to folks as they come to church Sunday mornings, or would like to help get things ready by serving behind the scenes, we have a place for you.

mw-ushersGREETERS FIRST FIVE MINISTRY

The greeter has the first opportunity to set the tone for all who enter for worship. We strive to welcome the body of Immanuel with a friendly word, a warm smile, and an extended hand of fellowship. It is our prayer that each person arriving at Immanuel will sense a warm, caring, friendly body of believers. If you would like to share your smile, plese join us in this ministry! Assignments will be flexible.

COMMUNION TEAM

Communion: To prepare the elements for the Lord's Supper.

  • Meet one Saturday morning quarterly to prepare the Lord's Supper for the entire congregation of Immanuel Bible Church. (approximate time 2 hours)
  • Meet in-between services on the Sunday that the Lord's Supper is served to help replenish the trays.

LEVITES

The primary Levite duty is to maintain the pew racks for worship, keeping the various components orderly and uniform in appearance and refreshed with the necessary communication cards and giving envelopes.

Commitment - Levites are encouraged to select a specific day of the week to regularly provide maintenance for a specific segment of the Worship Center. The Music & Worship Office will provide all the necessary supplies.

USHERS

Ushers and Greeters serve for one service every Sunday for a month and then are off for a month. Currently the teams are not fully staffed and some ushers volunteer more frequently. Ushers are asked to arrive 20 minutes prior to the service and stay until the end of the service.

How to Become an Usher:

  • Express your interest on a white communication card.
  • Call or speak with any of the ushers.
  • Call the Music Office, 703.813.1953

Duties:

  • Greeting Worshippers
  • Seating Worshippers
  • Duties during service
  • Distribute Visitor Brochures
  • Collect offering
  • Assist with emergencies
