Military Appreciation Dinner

Immanuel's Connect ministry plans a catered dinner to express appreciation and encouragement to Active Duty and Reserve/Guard attenders of Immanuel Bible Church. Major General Jack Catton, USAF Retired will speak. MajGen Catton is a fighter pilot, and has recently retired after over 31 years of active duty. He has held many command positions, including Squadron Commander, Wing Commander, Director of Plans (J7) Joint Staff and Director of requirements, Air Combat Command. MajGen Catton has attended Immanuel Bible Church for most of his career, and has been active in the Christian Embassy at the Pentagon. A musical program and other testimonies are planned.

  • Time and date: 22 May 2008, 1930 hours. Reception begins at 1900
  • Uniform: Coat and tie
  • Child care: Not provided
  • Cost: None. You will be hosted by Immanuel’s retired military community
  • RSVP: Please respond by 8 May as it will help our planning. Call the IBC Discipleship Office at 703.813.1955 or stop by the sign-up table in the Glass Breezeway between services in May. (We may not know who you are. Please stop and introduce yourself at the sign-up table.)

Retired members and Veterans:
You are asked to support this important dinner. We need:

  • Contributions (money received in excess of dinner costs will be used to help defray the costs of our monthly outreach to wounded warriors at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.)
  • Volunteers to set up, decorate, serve meals, and clean up.
  • Volunteers to staff the sign-up table in the glass breezeway on Sundays 4, 11, and 18 May.
  • You to participate in a closing prayer for our guests
