Baptism at Immanuel

Following our Lord's command (Matthew 28:19-20), we baptize those who have trusted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We usually hold baptisms during our evening worship service the first Sunday of each month. Prior to baptism, candidates need to attend a baptism class held the second Sunday of each month (accompanied by their parents in the case of children). Here, the significance and mode of baptism are explained, and handouts are used to assist in study and consideration of Scripture. There will also be time to discuss your personal testimony, procedures for the baptismal service and an opportunity for questions, answers and discussion.

As part of the baptismal service, candidates share their personal testimony of how God brought them to saving faith in Jesus Christ. Use this handout to help you with writing your testimony (pdf). To help us get to know you, we request that you fill out the baptism request form (click here to download the pdf document), and bring it to the baptism class.
